Where Learning Feels Like Home

As homeschool parents, we want our learners to experience the magic of a true community. A place where they aren't just a face in a crowded hallway or trapped behind a desk all day. You want them to feel safe, seen, and connected.

To bring that vision to life, Foundations gathers inside a beautiful local church facility here in Plant City, Florida. You won’t find cold, isolated rows of traditional classrooms here. Instead, our home base is a wide, welcoming main banquet hall intentionally designed to mirror the timeless charm of an old-school, single-room schoolhouse.

Within this single, vibrant space, we have built cozy, dedicated "neighborhoods" for each of our blended age groups. Inspired by a Montessori-style approach, our learners grow alongside peers of various ages rather than being strictly separated by rigid grade levels. Here, older students naturally step into leadership, younger learners find inspiring role models, and every individual learns how to navigate a rich, real-world social community. It’s a space designed to support your family's educational journey, giving your learner the deep roots of friendship and the wings of independent discovery.

While we are deeply grateful for this wonderful physical space and the warm hospitality of our hosts, Foundations operates as an independent, non-religious organization. Our daily rhythm is focused wholeheartedly on cultivating curiosity, academic support, communication skills, and lifelong memories.

Designed for Curiosity and Connection

Our shared space is designed around how students actually learn and connect. Here is what your learner steps into each week:

  • Learning Neighborhoods: Intentionally designated areas within our main hall tailored for active, hands-on instructional blocks.

  • Blended-Age Socialization: A rich, multi-age social fabric where students collaborate organically, build empathy, and form lasting bonds.

  • A Trusted Extension of Your Home: A safe, familiar environment built to support your family's routine with absolute confidence, knowing your student is stepping into a true collaborative community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Foundations a religious program?

While Foundations is a non-religious program, we are absolutely not anti-religion. We understand that faith is a deeply personal journey that exists on a wide spectrum, encompassing many beautiful variations and traditions. Because of this, we strive to remain entirely respectful, supportive, and neutral.

Our daily rhythm and curriculum focus strictly on academic exploration, sciences, and life skills. While our physical neighborhood spaces are located inside a church building, our program has no religious affiliation, instruction, or chapel requirements. We focus entirely on creating a warm, neutral, and welcoming environment where every family feels respected in their faith. We redirect faith-based questions to the learner’s parent/guardian.
