Where Learning Feels Like Home

Foundations meets at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Historic Plant City, in a spacious banquet hall building that gives our students room to learn, create, move, and connect.

We love that our space feels different from a traditional classroom. There are no rows of desks or crowded hallways. Instead, we’re able to create distinct areas, which we call neighborhoods, for our age groups, bring students together around a table for hands-on lessons, spread out for projects, and make room for movement and conversation throughout the morning.

Designed for Curiosity and Connection

Our shared space is designed around how students actually learn and connect. Here is what your learner steps into each week:

  • Learning Neighborhoods: Intentionally designated areas within our main hall tailored for active, hands-on instructional blocks.

  • Blended-Age Socialization: A rich, multi-age social fabric where students collaborate organically, build empathy, and form lasting bonds.

  • Room to Explore: Our large shared space allows students to transition between focused homeschool work, hands-on projects, group instruction, movement, and social time throughout the morning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Foundations a religious program?

While Foundations is a non-religious program, we are absolutely not anti-religion. We understand that faith is a deeply personal journey that exists on a wide spectrum, encompassing many beautiful variations and traditions. Because of this, we strive to remain entirely respectful, supportive, and neutral.

Our daily rhythm and curriculum focus strictly on academic exploration, sciences, and life skills. While our physical neighborhood spaces are located inside a church building, our program has no religious affiliation, instruction, or chapel requirements. We focus entirely on creating a warm, neutral, and welcoming environment where every family feels respected in their faith. We redirect faith-based questions to the learner’s parent/guardian.
